Congratulations to Southwest Ultraviolet Robotics for winning the Minne Trials off-season competition on Sunday! New team members designed, built and drove a robot for the first time and more experienced students took on stepped up roles to help bring a brand new (very inexpensive) robot to life for this special off-season competition. Ultraviolet outscored every other team, allianced with a St. Paul team for playoffs and WON Minne Trials. Plus they got to take home the coveted, crocheted shark jumping through a flaming hoop trophy! Way to go Southwest Ultraviolet Robotics!!!

It's the best party and biggest fundraiser of the year!
Come enjoy an evening with friends and see our performing arts students shine as they take the stage. Over the years, the proceeds from this event have helped us purchase new choir risers, band and guitar instruments, a Marley dance floor, musical licenses, costumes, guest artists, theatre sets, and more. Whether you are a current Southwest family, a friend of the community, or a Southwest alum family, we hope you can join us as we celebrate 22 years of excellence in the performing arts.
The Southwest Performing Arts Council is seeking local businesses to sponsor this event. Please click below to help support this important fundraiser.
Tickets go on sale December 10th!
This event is 21+ only.

Registration season is approaching, and we want to inform families about what IB is, what IB options are available, and how families can best position their students for success in IB classes during high school. All families are welcome, but families of 9th and 10th graders may find the greatest value as they prepare for the future.
Southwest FTC robotics team 'Code Blooded' qualified for the State Championship and won the 2nd Inspire award at the qualifier last weekend. The team is made up of seniors Kai Hendricks, Ollie Eiden, Henry Lee, Evan McGhee, Jayce Bender, and sophomores Rishab Singh, Kian Beeck, Jack Lee and Sam Christensen. We wish them the best for the State Championship on Feb 14-15!
Last week, Southwest freshmen visited the Junior Achievement Finance Park. They were exposed to activities to help them develop personal money management skills, acquire personal finance knowledge, and prepare for financial decisions and challenges in their adult lives.
Last Tuesday night's concert, Southwest at Orchestra Hall, was amazing! So many Laker friends and family members have asked for the link to the recorded livestream. It is below.
