What and When to Pay
The University will inform you of any charges on your account prior to each student account billing deadline.

Remember:
You are responsible for paying all charges on your student account that the PSEO program does not cover.
You are required to pay your student account balance in full by each student account payment due date.

Why does my high school student get a 1098-T form and/or W-9S form?
If your student was enrolled in either the Post Secondary Education Option or College in the Schools programs and had qualified charges that were paid during the calendar year, the University of Minnesota is required to provide the 1098-T form. The student's social security number is required on the 1098-T form, so if the University of Minnesota does not have your student's social security number, it must send out a W-9S to obtain that information.
High school students are not precluded from education tax benefits. Please consult your tax advisor to determine whether claiming education tax benefits at this point in time works to your advantage or whether you should claim the education benefits when the student enrolls as a full-time student.
