Commuting to Campus
If you have any in-person or blended courses, you will have to travel to the University of Minnesota Morris campus to attend classes. This page will help those of you who will be commuting to campus.

Transportation Reimbursement for Qualified Students
Funds are available to help pay transportation costs for PSEO students whose families are at or below the federal poverty level.

Campus Safety
UMN Morris strives to make campus a safe learning environment for all students. We have our own UMN Morris Public Safety Officers and Staff. Morris Campus Public Safety offers free walking escorts to and from locations on and near campus. Please contact Public Safety at 32o-589-6000 or 320-287-1601 after 4:30pm to request an escort or get more information.
Transportation Options
From biking and the Morris Transit to ride sharing and the weekend shuttle, Morris students are mobile low carbon travelers.
Biking
Campus Bicycle Registration Program
Print and fill out the bicycle registration form. Return the form to Public Safety office in Behmler Hall. Upon registration a numbered decal will be issued for the bicycle. Bicycle registration information is entered into a database. In the event of loss or theft, a registered bike will be quickly returned to the registered owner if recovered by the police.

From the East or the Minneapolis/St. Paul area
Approximate driving time: 3 hours
Take Interstate 94 west to Sauk Centre (exit #127).
Turn left onto Highway 71.
West (right) onto Highway 28. Watch closely for this turn!
Continue west on Highway 28 to Morris.
Turn south (left) onto Highway 59.
Turn west (right) onto Prairie Lane at the University of Minnesota sign.
Turn north (right) onto Alumni Drive, proceed to North parking lot to reach the Welcome Center.
From the North or the Fargo/Moorhead area
Approximate driving time: 2 hours
Take Interstate 94 east to Fergus Falls.
Take exit #61 for Highway 59 to Elbow Lake.
Turn south (right) and follow Highway 59 to Morris.
Turn west (right) onto Prairie Lane at the University of Minnesota sign.
Turn north (right) onto Alumni Drive, proceed to North parking lot to reach the Welcome Center.
From the South or the Sioux Falls area
Approximate driving time: 3 hours
Take Interstate 29 north to Highway 12 (exit #207) to Milbank, South Dakota.
Follow Highway 12 east to the intersection of Highway 59.
Turn north (left) onto Highway 59 to Morris.
Turn west (left) onto Prairie Lane at the University of Minnesota sign.
Turn north (right) onto Alumni Drive, proceed to North parking lot to reach the Welcome Center.
Parking
Morris Transit Service
The Morris Transit Service conveniently stops on campus on the hour, and it’s a relatively inexpensive way to make your way around the community.

Rainbow Rider Service
Rainbow Rider, a multi-county transportation service in west central Minnesota, offers rides from Morris to Alexandria on Mondays and Thursdays that can be coordinated with Groome Transportation shuttles to and from the MSP airport.
Weekend Shuttle
The Morris campus contracts with a local bus company to offer weekend shuttle rides to the TC area. The Shuttle stops in Alexandria, St. Cloud, Maple Grove and Twin Cities West Bank.
This service begins operating during the 5th weekend of the fall semester and continues through the academic year.
The shuttle does not run during winter or summer break.
Tickets will only remain on sale until 2 pm of the departure day.
Note: Students are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of any departure. The bus will not wait. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed on the bus.
