Students should arrive at 7:20 AM to enjoy breakfast and social connection time with their peers. Our academic day begins promptly at 7:40 AM, and students should be ready to learn by that time. Dismissal begins at 2:15 PM for bus riders, and at 2:20 PM for students being picked up or attending Part 2. If your student is going to be absent or there is a change to their after school schedule, please copy Sue (susan.brady@mmuusd.org) in addition to emailing their classroom teacher.

Thank you to everyone who came out on Tuesday night for our Spring Concert! The students rocked their performances and I am so proud of the hard work they put into preparing for such a joyous evening.
Thank you also to P.I.E for the recognition and beautiful bouquet of flowers.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Kindergarten registration is now open to families for the 2026-2027 school year.
Go to our enrollment page on our website and fill out the one form listed, scrolling down the page until you see the headline 'Kindergarten (2026-2027)'.
Required registration documents for enrollment are: birth certificate, proof of residency, and immunization records.
Please contact Wendy Garrapy at data@mmuusd.org should you have any questions when registering your student.

While everyone is still making all their new year's resolutions, don't forget the resolution that you made to spend more time volunteering at your child's school! The kitchen is one of the best places to have fun at BPMS, if you haven't tried it, now is the time. We would love help to serve snack/breakfast from 8:15-9:30 and lunch from 10:45-12:30. Come see how much fun your kiddos have at lunch!

Dear BPMS community,
After three bucket-filling years at BPMS I need to make a change to better support my family. I will not be returning to BPMS as the school nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. We are currently working to fill this role, please spread the word to the nurses in your life.
Thank you for welcoming me into this very special school community and I hope to see you around town, on the ski hill, lacrosse field or at Essex Pediatrics where I will continue to work as a staff nurse. I will also continue to work among the amazing nurses of our district as a substitute in our school health offices.
If you know of any registered nurse interested in joining a fun group of skilled nurses and educators please consider reaching out to rebecca.thibault@mmuusd.org with inquiries about our team.

MINI MILERS IS BACK AT BPMS!
MINI MILERS IS BACK AT BPMS!
Attention parents of kids ages 7-10! (5 & 6 year olds are welcome, too, with the support of a parent or caregiver!)
We are happy to share that BPMS is working with RunVermont to offer a Mini Milers program again this year! We plan to offer meetings at BPMS on Thursdays from 4-5pm. The season will start on Thursday, April 2nd. Runners of all abilities are welcome. RunVermont does charge a $15 registration fee that helps cover the cost of a tee-shirt or hat and a few other materials for the program (scholarships are available if needed). The season culminates with an optional Mini Marathon at the Waterfront Park in Burlington on 5/23/26 with the option to participate in a 1/2 mile, 1 mile or 2 mile run.

IMPORTANT! Changes to 3SquaresVT
Please help us spread the word to make sure 3,000 of our friends and neighbors keep 3SquaresVT by reporting information that meets the work reporting rules. 3,000 people could lose benefits on March 1st if they do not report information in time.
We have developed a number of resources to support information-sharing and hope you will share these resources broadly, all housed in this link.
We have information for community partners to understand how to support people with reporting information, including completing the "Personal Obstacle or Barrier to Work" exemption. DCF has produced a community partner guide that explicitly talks about this exemption.
We have information to share generally with people (on social media, Front Porch Forum sample posts, newsletters, county-specific paper flyers)
We will be uploading the recordings of our 3SquaresVT Work Reporting Rules Training series on Tuesday to that link above.
The more we can share information about this BEFORE March 1st, the better chance that people who are otherwise eligible for 3SquaresVT will be able to keep their benefits. 3SquaresVT helps workers–both to supplement wages and provide support between jobs. Most people who can work, do work. For the small share of folks who can’t work or face barriers to work, 3SquaresVT is a crucial support.
