Important Information for Students and Families
Our BPMS students have been working incredibly hard on their performance pieces and can’t wait to share them with you at our concert on Tuesday March 24, 6:00pm!
Below are a few important details to help the evening run smoothly.
Dress Code:
Students are asked to “dress nice” — whatever that means for you and your family. Please no hats/hoods.
Arrival & Seating:
The doors will open at 5:50. When students arrive they should find their classmates at the front of the gymnasium. They will be sitting with their class for the duration of the concert.
Questions?
Please contact Jennifer Corrigan at jennifer.corrigan@mmuusd.org.
We can’t wait to see you!
While everyone is still making all their new year's resolutions, don't forget the resolution that you made to spend more time volunteering at your child's school! The kitchen is one of the best places to have fun at BPMS, if you haven't tried it, now is the time. We would love help to serve snack/breakfast from 8:15-9:30 and lunch from 10:45-12:30. Come see how much fun your kiddos have at lunch!

Ms. Motta's kindergarten class painting aurora borealis landscapes while learning about Canadian painter Ted Harrison.
Ms. Motta's Kindergarten class is using many skills to read a decodable book: pointer power; making the sound of each letter; blending those sounds to produce the word; going back to the beginning of the sentence to reread and smooth out the words.
NEWS FROM THE BPMS HEALTH OFFICE
The BPMS Library, with generous support from P.I.E., is so very excited to host Mexican-American author-illustrator Duncan Tonatiuh on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. More detailed information is forthcoming, but here is the link to his website, and we have many of his beautiful, informative, and joyful books in our school library. Look forward to a day of learning about how books, stories, and pictures come together to make absolute magic! --
Hello BPMS Families!
Things are buzzing over here at BPMS PIE and we have several ways for you to get involved!
First - Happy Pi Day this weekend!— Thank you to all who brought in pies, drinks, and other goodies to celebrate our incredible BPMS staff!
Two more ways to support PIE and the BPMS community:
Cookie Love Fundraiser — Order deadline extended to March 29th! Help PIE raise funds by ordering (or selling!) Cookie Love Cookie Dough from this fantastic local business. Payment is due at time of ordering. Use this form to place your order.
Helping Hands Our "Helping Hands" display (formerly the Giving Tree) is up in the school entryway! Due to the spending freeze, many teachers haven't been able to purchase needed classroom supplies — and this is our chance to help.
In the building? Grab a tag, buy the item, and return it to Sue.
Prefer to donate funds? Email Helen at helenmstoddard@gmail.com or Venmo @Dolores-Quesnel and note "helping hands"
Upcoming Dates:
Our Next PIE Meeting — WEDNESDAY April 1st J at 7pm at the Huntington Public Library. All are welcome!
Friday Coffee Hour will be March 27th from 7:30-8:30am after All School Morning Meeting - this month we will be joined by Special Guest Superintendent John Muldoon - join us for coffee and conversation
Thank you for being such an incredible community. Your time, generosity, and enthusiasm make everything PIE does possible.
Attention parents of kids ages 7-10! (5 & 6 year olds are welcome, too, with the support of a parent or caregiver!)
We are happy to share that BPMS is working with RunVermont to offer a Mini Milers program again this year! We plan to offer meetings at BPMS on Thursdays from 4-5pm. The season will start on Thursday, April 2nd. Runners of all abilities are welcome. RunVermont does charge a $15 registration fee that helps cover the cost of a tee-shirt or hat and a few other materials for the program (scholarships are available if needed). The season culminates with an optional Mini Marathon at the Waterfront Park in Burlington on 5/23/26 with the option to participate in a 1/2 mile, 1 mile or 2 mile run.
Learn more about the program here:

Please help us spread the word to make sure 3,000 of our friends and neighbors keep 3SquaresVT by reporting information that meets the work reporting rules. 3,000 people could lose benefits on March 1st if they do not report information in time.
We have developed a number of resources to support information-sharing and hope you will share these resources broadly, all housed in this link.
We have information for community partners to understand how to support people with reporting information, including completing the "Personal Obstacle or Barrier to Work" exemption. DCF has produced a community partner guide that explicitly talks about this exemption.
We have information to share generally with people (on social media, Front Porch Forum sample posts, newsletters, county-specific paper flyers)
We will be uploading the recordings of our 3SquaresVT Work Reporting Rules Training series on Tuesday to that link above.
The more we can share information about this BEFORE March 1st, the better chance that people who are otherwise eligible for 3SquaresVT will be able to keep their benefits. 3SquaresVT helps workers–both to supplement wages and provide support between jobs. Most people who can work, do work. For the small share of folks who can’t work or face barriers to work, 3SquaresVT is a crucial support.
In community,
Ivy, Sophie & the HFVT team
Our office has compiled a list of free food resources in Chittenden County with information about hours, location, accessibility and eligibility requirements that can be shared with families who need assistance.
You can find it on our Burlington | Vermont Department of Health website, or linked here: https://www.healthvermont.gov/sites/default/files/document/lh-burlington-Chittenden-County-Food-Resources.pdf
