¡Hola familias!

In Spanish class, we've been learning to express likes and dislikes, some food words, color words and greetings. One of the ways that we've been learning new words is through music. These slides contain all of the songs that your student has seen in class this year, along with pictures of the gestures we've learned with some of the words in each song. Ask your student to show you their favorite songs. If your student isn't singing along or doing the gestures, that's ok. How students engage with the songs in class is up to them. As the year continues, I'll be adding new songs to these slides as we learn them. Saludos, Gabriel (Profe)

A SLICE OF P.I.E.

Corporate Matching Opportunity to support PIE!

Does your company or employer participate in a corporate matching program? If so, would you consider making a donation to PIE? As a community-based charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit, BPMS PIE is eligible for many companies’ corporate matching programs! Corporate matches can amplify the impact of your contribution, helping us further our mission and support our programs that enhance and strengthen the educational and social environment for the BPMS students. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference together. If there are any questions, please reach out to Dee Quesnel (PIE Treasurer) at treasurer@bpmspie.org.

FROM THE KITCHEN

Kitchen Volunteers Needed

Are you interested in an opportunity to be involved in your child(ren)’s life during the school day? Would you like to get to know every child at BPMS by name? Curious to know if your kids are actually eating their vegetables at school? If so, volunteering in the kitchen as a lunch server might be a great place to start! The BPMS kitchen team is proud to make fresh, wholesome, and delicious food, however, we are dependent on volunteers to help serve lunch. Please consider signing up for a day or two to join the kitchen team and be a part of the school lunch hustle. The time commitment is from 10:50-12:30 and no experience is required! And, you get to see your kiddos and squeeze in a few extra hugs! Please check out the SignUpGenius HERE to sign up for a shift or contact Hilary at hilary.redman@mmuusd.org for more information.
