Our academic day begins at 7:40am and doors are open at 7:20am for breakfast and time to get ready for the day. If your student is going to be absent or there is a change to their after school schedule, please copy Sue (susan.vandervliet@mmuusd.org) in addition to emailing their classroom teacher.

Hello Families of Brewster-Pierce,
I wanted to thank you for participating this year in the Kids Heart Challenge. We are less than $500 from our challenge goal. To those that did not sign-up yet, there is still time to do so. Please, click on the link.
Signing up is free. Your child gets a free wristband. After $5 donations, they begin to get prizes. If we get 20 people to signup and give $15, that $300 will get us almost to our overall goal. We are so close.
Free Free Free!!! Doing Finn's Challenge is free. It makes me wear a Heart Costume for the whole day in PE and your child could win Super Bowl Tickets. Please, consider being involved.

This week Ms. Motta's kindergarten class earned a celebration for getting 100 bees in recognition of their great behavior in library! After we read some of a book about the science of snowflakes, we checked out books and then had a choice time with drawing and Legos. As we would expect from this crew, there was sharing, flexibility, creative problem solving, and lots of kindness as we enjoyed ourselves and these activities. Ms. Linder's and Ms. Godin's class also earned library celebrations, but I forgot to take photos. Fiddlesticks! Nice work, grades K-2!

*Tonight! PIE will be serving free hot cocoa and cider at Huntington Valley Arts’ First Friday Holiday Market! Swing by and see us at the Huntington Public Library ~5-7pm! There will be lots of great local artists at this event and a craft table for kids! Stop by Beaudry’s for a tasting and fish tacos from Hindquarter 4-6pm as well!!

Kitchen Volunteers Needed
Kitchen Volunteers Needed
Are you interested in an opportunity to be involved in your child(ren)’s life during the school day? Would you like to get to know every child at BPMS by name? Curious to know if your kids are actually eating their vegetables at school? If so, volunteering in the kitchen as a lunch server might be a great place to start! The BPMS kitchen team is proud to make fresh, wholesome, and delicious food, however, we are dependent on volunteers to help serve lunch. Please consider signing up for a day or two to join the kitchen team and be a part of the school lunch hustle. The time commitment is from 10:50-12:30 and no experience is required! Dear friends, families, students and staff,
I want to send along my sincere thanks to all of you for your very generous donations of food for Huntington families. Fun facts about your contributions:

15 cans of cranberry sauce/ 2 packages of cranberries

3 pumpkin pies/3 apple pies
8 decks of cards
We cooked and delivered to several folks in town and, because of your generosity, we provided some with turkeys and the trimmings! Thank you for this team effort and for your support. Happy Holidays to you all.
