For Reading this week investigating narrative structure and features. We will also consider how writers use different techniques to engage their audience.
This week we be adapting the story of our mentor text, Stuck by Oliver Jeffers.
Students will choose one or two parts of the story to change to create their own narrative.
In Spelling this week, we will be looking at different ways the long 'e' sound can be spelt.
We will also look at verbs for doing, seeing, thinking and feeling.
This week we will be returning to addition! We will be learning the Jump Strategy to solve addition problems and applying it to different situations.
Additionally we will continue to develop our fluency with our recall of addition facts, using programs such as Fact Freaks or Hit the Button.
This week in Health, we will be continuing our CyberSafety lessons for this term. We will be learning about where our data lives online - personal, private and public spaces.
Just a reminder that NAPLAN will be continues this week.
Language conventions will be held on Monday and Numeracy on Tuesday.
All Grade 3 students are required to bring their devices fully charged.
This week we will be starting to learn about and investigate the local council and learn about the services that the local government provides for the community.
