Rating Scale

  • This works for intervention strategies where you are trying to increase a target behavior.

  • Rate the behavior on the following scale:

    • 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

    • never/seldom sometimes most/all of the time

  • Rate at least once per week per class.

  • Use the document below to record your ratings and/or share with other staff who are rating the same student on the same behavior.

  • You could also add a self-monitoring component to your intervention and progress monitoring by asking the student to rate themselves, and then compare your rating and discuss why you agree/disagree. (see self-monitoring)
