Peer Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS): Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) is a peer-tutoring instructional program that supplements the primary reading curriculum. Pairs of students work together on reading activities intended to improve reading accuracy, fluency, and comprehension.

Duet Reading Partners: Duet Reading is designed to increase the accuracy with which students read connected text. It is appropriate for students who have adequate phonetic skills but who struggle applying those skills to reading text. Students who would likely respond best to this intervention are those who accurately read substantially less than 93% of the words from grade-level text. This intervention increases accuracy.

Partner Reading: Partner Reading can be used to improve reading fluency and comprehension among a classroom of students. Partner Reading with paragraph shrinking is usually implemented when a large percentage of students in one classroom score low on benchmark screening measures of reading. It is a reading fluency and comprehension intervention that is designed to increase proficiency.
