Intervention Steps

1. Exchange previously written essays (or give students work samples to use).

2. Explain each peer editing step and display them for reference.

3. Have students practice editing each other's papers in pairs until they are proficient in editing strategy. Model for them if necessary.

4. Students independently use peer tutoring strategy to edit each other's papers.
