Directions:

  1. Conference with student about behaviors you are observing and have a discussion using the collaborative problem solving protocol below (Plan B Worksheet). The goal of this conversation is to collaboratively identify a cue that the instructor can give the student when the behaviors begin to occur.

      • For example, the behavior may be passively looking around the room when expected to work independently

  2. After the conference, create any needed tool to engage in the visual prompting. If you collaboratively decided that a tap on their desk would help, or some similar nonverbal cue, no resources are needed.
