Student may have difficulty starting things that are too easy, too hard, or low interest.
Check that the student understands the directions
Check that the task is not beyond the student's skill level
Try:
Ready - Do - Done: paper/pencil handout with conferencing or Chrome extension
If a student shows low completion or avoidance during the entire task, including getting started, they may also benefit from the checklist strategy in the Goal Directed Persistence tab. Checklists can be used alongside the above strategies.
