Prelude to NFL week 2: Who to start and sit in Fantasy Football

Quarterback- START- Josh Allen- With an impressive start in week 1 Josh Allen is the Current Highest Ranked Quarterback according to ESPN experts. And I gotta admit, I agree. With well over 300 yards passing against the Rams last week, and a favorable match up against a Tennessee Titans Defense that blew a 13-point second half lead against the Giants last week. So if you have Josh Allen it goes without saying to please start him.

Quarterback- SIT- Trey Lance- After a terrible Week 1 performance against the worst team in the NFL, The Chicago Bears, Quarterback Trey Lance’s 49ers do not have high hopes for week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, who are coming off an upset win against the Broncos.

Running back- START- Jonathan Taylor- The reigning AFC running back of the year Johnathan Taylor is back to his old ways. An unbeatable combo of Running and Receiving got him 28 PPR fantasy points last week, and with the subpar passing and receiving game of the Indianapolis Colts, he will get a lot of touches this week too.

Running back- SIT- D’andre Swift- Even with a strong performance last week on the ground and through the air, Swift has not gotten many red zone carries with many of them going to backup Jamaal Williams. As well as an ankle injury that could end up sidelining him for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders. All in all I’m not a big fan of Swift this week.

Wide Receiver- START- Any of the Three Bengals Starters- Tyler Boyd, Ja’marr Chase, Tee Higgins, you can't really go wrong with any of them. However, Higgins could end up sitting on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Joe Burrow is looking to have a bounce-back week after throwing 4 interceptions against the Steelers last week. If you have any of these three in your lineup you should be set.

Wide Receiver- SIT- CeeDee Lamb- With Cowboys Star Quarterback Dak Prescott out for the next few weeks with a broken thumb, we can’t expect much from Lamb because of his performance with backup Quarterbacks in the past. With the 8-man race for the starting job on Sunday, the Cowboys don’t look in great shape for their week 2 match up with the Bengals.

Tight End- START- Pat Freiermuth- The second-year Tight End from Penn State had an impressive and under the radar week 1 performance against the Bengals with 2 clutch time catches in overtime. His Steelers face the Patriots, who gave up big yards to tight ends last week, this week. Freiermuth’s future's looking bright.

Tight End- SIT- Cole Kmet- With a less than great performance, Kmet is not seen in as high of a regard as he was coming into the season. Many experts believe he will struggle this season, and if he doesn’t pick up the pieces soon, that could be just the case.
