Troubles with movies on demand

A lot of movies recently released have caused the movie theater to lose some business, but they seem to manage even with the little loss of business. Even with the movies releasing at home on demand, people are still finding ways to watch pirated movies for free without paying the theater any money.

The management of the Danville 12 Cinema had this to say, “We are dealing with it as we always have. Business isn't the same as it was before COVID, but people are still coming to the movies even if it is a double release. it is the same as what it would be before at home on demand. There are some weeks that the movie companies know that it won't be a big hit and we will just schedule less people on those weekends. Now big releases like "Conjuring 3" and "Shang-Chi" both did very well here at the theater even though they had at home releases; it just depends if something releases that the people want to see.”

So the theater seems to be okay with a few movies releasing at home on demand as they seem to not be very bothered by the big hits.

The big deal movies seem to make the most profit as people prefer to see the most ambitious movies at the theater--like MCU movies. For example, “Black Widow” caused possibly hundreds of people to visit the theater to see it on the big screen and not on a small TV screen.

To sum things up, everything seems to be fine at the theater.
