Welcome!

From Dorothy Pepin, Director of Program Administration:

Welcome to the first installment of the Weekly Lighthouse School Update. As we continue to navigate the challenges of living and working remotely we are initiating this weekly update as a way to continue to connect with our partners: our families and LEA’s. Our goal is to provide information, programming updates, access to additional resources and tools. This weekly communication does not replace the face-to-face relationships we are used to engaging in. However this will hopefully be a place where families and LEA’s can receive the most updated information throughout this extended closure.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope this letter finds your family well and coping with this unique life challenge. We would like to remind all our students and families of the recommended healthy practices of social distancing and hand washing for at least 20 seconds. All indications are that these two practices can help greatly in containing the spread of Coronavirus.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all learn about Google Classroom and Google Meet. As with any new adventure there will be times of uncertainty and unpredictability. We understand this new way of learning can be quite challenging. We ask that you continue to trust in the partnership we have developed in resolving any issues. Please know that this adventure is new for us as well and we are working diligently to quickly address any issues to help streamline and maintain this platform to its best capabilities. As always, working together will benefit us all, most especially your children, our children.

Please stay well.

Warm Regards,
Peter Lang, M.Ed.
Principal

Current Notifications

We’d like to thank our families for their close communication as we have made the switch to providing remote services to you and your children. Of course we expect questions about the academic content, so reaching out through a teacher’s Google Classroom is a great way to ask those questions. Rest assured, we see your questions and will reply that day if we are not involved in teaching lessons, or by the next day at the latest. While awaiting a reply, students can work on other assignments. Please remember, technical questions can be answered by completing a tech request through our website or by clicking the link at the bottom of this Newsletter
