DESCRIBING MY HOMETOWN...

I live in Pozzuolo del Friuli, a very small village near Udine. I' ve been living here since 2015. Life in this area is quiet, too quiet. There aren't many people and many things to do. I don't really like living in Italy because the weather is cold and because the majority of the people are "cold" too.
I live in Pozzuolo with my parents, but I am Brasilian and the rest of my family lives in Brasil. Brasil could be our perfect place to live but unfortunately, life is better here in Italy from the point of view of economy.
By the way, there are positive things in Italy too, for example you can feel safer when you walk alone...
I live in Tricesimo, a clean little town near Udine.
Tricesimo has a population of 7693 inhabitants and contains 8 district. In my city there are historical churches, mansions and a castle.
There are a lot of picturesque bars, little newsagents, old ice -cream bars, nice bakery shops, supermarkets , some butcher’s shops , little and beautiful boutiques, expensive jewelleries and some gyms.
I love living there because Tricesimo is a very quiet city during the night and the afternoon. People are at work during the morning and at midday it is all very chaotic because there are a lot of buses, cars and students.
In the morning, when I take the bus, I love to see the beautiful colours of the sky: when the weather is nice, the sky is coloured in red, rose, orange and blue...
My city is not as big as Milan, but at least it isn't overcrowded.
Udine isn't an attractive city, because there aren't many impressive buildings. However, for its habitants it is one of the most spectacular cities in the world and the most important thing is that Udine is quiet and not dispersive, which is a good thing if you want to find everything you need without getting lost.
Udine is well preserved, not that polluted and has lots of places where people my age can spend their spare time. These places are Piazza San Giacomo and the Castle of Udine, where at night you can admire a breathtaking view from.
These places are basically for young people: in fact, on Saturday afternoons, strolling in Piazza San Giacomo you won't find old people or adults.
I live in Udine, a small but magical city in the north-east of Italy.
In my opinion, Udine is located in a very strategical position, beacause it is close to places that you can visit in a day with your friends.
For example, it is near the most beautiful and attractive city in the world, Venice...
It is also close to Lignano and Bibione wich are our amazing beaches.
Basiliano is a little town in a small municipality, but huge on beauty: it is the municipality of other 7 towns.
It is a town of 5 286 inhabitants in the province of Udine. Until 1923 its name was Pasian Schiavonesco.
The historical name originated from an ancient Slavic colony. A lot of adults and elderly people live here, but for young people there are many initiatives such as festivals with foam parties, the festival of masanetes and many other festivals.
Basiliano is an extremely charming town, even if it isn’t huge. It has beautifully-preserved historical monuments and churches . A few months ago, the church of Variano, which is an extremely picturesque and magnificent church, has received the honorary title of duomo from the bishop of Udine.
The town has a beautiful, enchanting and spectacular bell tower from which you can enjoy a beautiful unexpected and magical view of the whole town.
I live in Gemona, wich is a small quiet town in Friuli.
Gemona was built in the Middle Ages and was an important village in that age. In fact, many centuries ago Gemona was surrounded by walls and the merchants with carts entered from "Porta Udine", which is an enormous arch near the main church, and had to pay tax to enter and accomodate in inns.
Gemona now has a fascinating historical center with the main street, named "via Bini": in this street there are some tiny but elegants shops. Moreover, there is a medieval castle on the top of a little hill. Behind the castle, there is a wonderful garden, where you can see a spectacular view of Gemona and other little towns near it.
I like Gemona because it is never overcrowded, but sometimes there are some groups of tourists.
In my town there are a lot of hidden fascinating things to see, for example under the main church there are catacombs with a wall made of skulls.
I live in Buja, a little but picturesque town near Udine.
Buja is a quiet and colourful place. It's very peaceful because there are a lot of farms and you can hear only the sounds of the animals. In fact Buja isn't a crowded place.
When you get up the hill, the view is breathtaking. Buja is a really sunny place and it rains very rarely. But sometimes Buja is a little bit boring because there aren't enough shops and most of the inhabitats are older than 50 years old.
The historical part of Buja is very mysterious because there are a lot of caves, but nobody can explore them because it's very dangerous.
There is a part of my hometown that is very romantic and magical because there are a lot of sunflowers. I don't mind Buja, but I often think I would like to live in another place.
I live in a quite small town called S. Daniele, situated on a tiny and picturesque hill.
I’ve always lived there since I was born, so I know almost every single street.
S. Daniele isn’t a lively town and it doesn’t even have a nigtlife, but I don’t mind living there because I’m positive it’s a safe place. The streets are never crowded, except when the festival of the town takes place, but they’re always clean.
Some views are extremely dull, others are suggestive and peaceful. For example, you can admire other hills from S. Daniele’s castle: actually, it’s not a castle but a point of the town where you can relax under the trees and enjoy the view.
Other attractive places to see a are the Duomo and the St Antonio Abate’s church, which contain some gorgeous paintings of Pellegrino da S.Daniele.
The rest of the town is quite anonymous; there are some typical small shops hidden in small streets, or huge In the industrial zone which produce the ham this town is famous for.
You can find a lot of exquisite restaurants and cultural points to visit, because S.Daniele is a tourist town.
In conclusion I’m attached to this town, even if it isn’t so huge or enchanting.
I live in Tolmezzo, a tiny village near Udine: it has 10.000 inhabitants.
I like Tolmezzo because it is peaceful, clean und unspoilt: however, I sometimes would like to live in a bustling, cosmopolitan and stunning city.
Anyway, even if it is not a huge village there are many shops, services, schools and restaurants.
Some days there are amazing, breathtaking and fascinating landscapes, sunsets, sunrises and unexpected views. I think they are unique and magical.
If you would like to visit Tolmezzo, I suggest you visit the museum, the city center and the castle ruins.
I live in a little town named Cormons. It only has 7.000 inhabitants but it is so enchanting. From the picturesque centre, you can easily reach the outskirts and walk through some narrow streets that are extremely peaceful and fascinating.
The town is surrounded by hills, which make everything even more magical. You can take a walk in the woods and try to reach the highest point where you can see the ruins of an old castle and, when it’s sunny, you will see a breathtaking view.
In Cormons there are also 3 parks. Two of them are tiny and pretty quiet but the third one, which is also the biggest one, is gorgeous and always full of people who want to relax.
I think Cormons is an amazing place to live in, because it’s quiet and there’s a really good environment.
Cavalicco is a tiny little village near Udine.
I have lived in Cavalicco for three years and there are a newsagent, two churches, a chemist and a very small park.
Until a few months ago in Cavalicco there was an ice cream shop, a jewelry store and a mini supermarket.
I like living there because Cavalicco is a quiet and safe place but sometimes it’s extremely boring. I think that a lot of old people live in Cavalicco but I would like it if there were also many young people of my age. I find all the people of my age who live there very unpleasant and unfriendly.
In Cavalicco, I saw a huge grasshopper that terrified me once, so Cavalicco is not my favorite place on Earth. It's nice to live in Cavalicco but it's not amazing because there aren't many interesting things to do...
Located on a hill near the Cormor river, Tricesimo is a very peaceful and interesting city. It has picturesque streets. The city has a strategically-placed viewpoint at the top of a hill.
It is an ancient city, it was founded by the Romans. They called it Tricesimo because it had three main streets.
It has a beautiful, impressive square with a big Romanic church. In the square, there is usually a country market with typical products, and in summer you can see the outdoor cinema.
After Christmas you can meet the "Krampus", typical masks of our mountains. They are very scary.
Near Tricesimo, you can find a lot of shops and markets, like Sorelle Ramonda, Pittarello and Arteni.
I like Tricesimo because it has some green places where you can find a magical and immacolate atmosphere, where you can walk or ride a bike.
I live in Lovaria, which is a tiny little village near Pradamano.
Of course it's extremely quiet. I don't like Lovaria because there is nothing to do and it's too underpopulated. There are about 300 inhabitants and 200 of them are living in the retirement house, so my hometown is so boring and empty... In my opinion Lovaria is a town for old people.
I would rather live in a city more like Udine, where I could go out and see my friends...
I live in Udine and honestly I don't like the place where I live mainly for the following reasons.
Firstly, Udine is a small town and even if I appreciate small towns, I would never live there if it were possible. I need to hear the noise of the traffic and the people who discuss.
Since it is a small town, the majority of the shops are at the shopping centre 'Cittá fiera', out of Udine. Since all the shops are there, it is always full of people and it is too big (and it isn't a good thing).
Except for some bus lines, buses pass just from hour to hour and if it isn't enough it is also constantly late. It is enough to get away 5 km from the centre and there aren't any sidewalks, so it is difficult to walk safely.
There is nothing to do in the centre: either you eat something or you stay and talk.
So, I consider Udine too boring, expensive and also too small, and these are the reasons why I don't like Udine...
Pozzuolo is a small town near Udine. I live in a big white house in Mortegliano street, at the centre.
Pozzuolo doesnt' have many places where you can go, but there are some confectioner’s shop, bars, bakeries, coffee bars... Near the main square there is a small supermarket and two ice cream parlours, while near my house there are two big natural parks.
In Pozzuolo there are also two recreational centres, and rivers where in summer we young people spend evenings, listening to music and eating pizza.
