Othello: the invisible bond between racism and manipulation

I decided to deepen this work of Shakespeare first of all because it is extremely interesting the way in which the well-known poet deals with the issues of the past in detail and it is amazing how even today these issues are still relevant and unresolved but above all they have not changed.

In this work full of teachings i have analysed the main current issues: the first obvious one is racism, which is introduced by the poet with a certain impact since the protagonist is offended and moked This issue is still common today since it still occupies the news of the newspaper with people subject to oppressions and violence.

The second engaging issue is manipulation, that is the leitmotif of his work, which creates a false sense of reality and convinces people to believe in false stories, invented in the past, that man uses to the detriment of others to achieve his own goals.

In conclusion, I state that this work of Shakespeare has a huge importance, as all the current issues treated in his masterpiece teach us something and each of them trasmits us a message which Shakespeare wants to convey to us so as not to commit the same past mistakes.
