THE BRIGHT SIDE OF EUROPE
Have you ever really thought about what is Europe or what being a member of it means?
Well, the answer is simple, you might think. What you may say is “The EU is an association composed of various countries. It is true but what would you say if I told you there is much more in the EU than a simple association of states?
The EU works and thinks as a single state. It is a complex mechanism designed to provide support in times of need. The situation we are currently coping with, for instance, is the perfect example of the mechanism in action: there are daily meetings between representatives of the Member States, and, Italy has received the so-called “Recovery Funds”, provided by the EU to revive the country from the crisis caused by the epidemic.
With the formation of the EU, moving from one state to another has never been so easy. The only thing you need is your ID, in addition to your luggage and ticket obviously, in fact, you will not be asked for your passport or any sort of form.
The exchange of goods has also improved significantly. All the goods must undergo various inspections before entering European territory.
From my experience, I can say that I was lucky enough to travel a lot during the past years and I never had any trouble moving. Moreover, every time I buy something like food or whatever I always look for the “CE” symbol which means that the object or the foodstuff has successfully passed all the process of control.
With that said, we can realise how fundamental the EU really is. Every day the EU ensures us that everything we eat or we work with is safe and reliable.
