Vibes Hi-Fi Earplugs Order Form
Your hearing is important and doesn't come back when it is damaged. We have been offered a nearly 50% discount of Hi-Fi earplugs through the company Vibes. Unlike traditional earplugs, Vibes Hi-Fi (High Fidelity) Earplugs lower volume without distorting sound, which is very important while playing in a band of 120 people. Earplugs are $15 a pair and you can purchase multiple - MYSELF AND THE STAFF STRONGLY SUGGEST DOING SO TO PROTECT YOUR HEARING. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE!
*This link will be left up on our website for purchase at any point throughout the season/Indoor, but it is STRONGLY recommended you get them ASAP!

ORIGINAL UPDATE:
Marching Band Members and Parents,
We had a strong July filled with tons of progress - Welcome to August! This is ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MONTHS of our season as it is where we will learn the majority of our show and skills. The hours we put in will be the hours where the challenges we face make the thrill of performing in the fall worth it! This summer has been hot and approaching it by being prepared physically and mentally is the only way to succeed. Myself and the staff have an extra close eye on the heat this summer and will always be working to accommodate for it while staying productive within reason. For this to work, inside and outside of rehearsal, everyone needs to drink plenty of water each day and eat to support physical activity. Check out these Nutrition Guidelines for suggestions on nutritious foods and staying hydrated!
Don't lose sight of our #1 goal for the season: FINISH THE SHOW. GET OUT OF THE LEARNING PHASE. Right now is when that happens!
This and Next Week's Schedule
Mini Camps: Tuesday/Thursday 1-9 (6th, 8th, 13th, 15th)

Parent Meeting: Thursday 8/8, 7:30-9 PM
Thursday is our only parent meeting of the season in the East Cafeteria (enter by big glass window). The location may change due to summer maintenance, I will communicate this via Remind if so. Please plan to be there! Topics of discussion include:
Mr. Massaro:
August and Band Camp: Safety, Schedule, Success
Overview of the fall: Rehearsals, Competitions, Football Games
Thanksgiving Parade Details

Q&A
Cleared List
The deadlines for registration are past due! Parents can view the cleared status for your student on Genesis. If it shows that your student is not yet fully cleared, it will give the reason why. Please direct all questions to the appropriate party for the fastest response. Contacts can be found on the second page of this document.
Beginning 8/19 (Band Camp), any student who is still not yet fully cleared will not be able to participate until the necessary obligations have been filled. Please stay on top of this!
