Just like that, band camp week one is done! We were lucky to have some of the greatest weather anyone has ever seen at a band camp and accomplished a great deal of work. I'm so proud of how we represented ourselves this past Friday at the game and especially proud of how we dealt with the crazy logistics of that day! Week 2 has the same layout, so it's full speed ahead - time to get this show really happening. Take a good look around, you may not know it now... but you're gonna miss this!

Donation Drive
Our Donation Drive officially begins this week and runs through 9/12. Our goal is to completely fill the music library in the band room with bags! Please drop off your donations of clothing and more any time during band hours, and get people you know to do the same!
Miscellaneous
The National Anthem performance with Egg Harbor was a beautiful moment and has received so much positive feedback. I'm so proud of how we came together with EHT to make this happen for such a memorable way to kick off the football season. The video has also garnered quite a few views on social media and is now on YouTube for easy sharing.

Band Shoes have been delivered and can be picked up by students at any time - names are on the boxes. Students should put their shoes in their uniform bag in the closet. For vets that have shoes from last year, you can either keep them or donate them to the band to have as backup/extras.
Looking Ahead
There are only 13 DAYS until the PREVIEW SHOW and 20 DAYS until our FIRST COMPETITION AT ABSEGAMI!
After this week, we will officially enter our regular fall routine. Everyone has about a week to absorb what's left of summer 😎 From there, school begins on Thursday, 9/7 which is when we will also have our first after school rehearsal (pickup 6:15, Tuesdays and Thursdays going forward)
Please plan to attend our Friends and Family Preview show on Saturday, 9/9 beginning at 6 PM in the stadium. We will display many of the different aspects of how our program works before performing a portion of our 2023 show, Deviation of Time. An event is up on Facebook now, share it up! Our first competition will be the following Saturday 9/16 at Absegami HS. Performance times are forthcoming.
