September Week 1 - Preview Show!
Congratulations to everyone on an amazing two weeks of camp! As I told the band in our final huddle, this is the most progress we've ever made during camp, and we've said that exact same thing for the past two seasons as well. That just means we're continuing to get stronger! I also can't say that we've ever performed the show at all before the school year started (or had two football games before the year started), so this is definitely a season of many firsts. Here are the full group pictures from the last day!
I hope that everyone has been able to enjoy some time to relax over the weekend! Welcome to September - this is where everything gets really fun. Nothing beats the cool fall days of attending/performing at shows and the incredible feeling of all of our work starting to pay off. We're all already all in, but now the added layer of school gets introduced as well. BALANCE is going to be your key to sucsess. You will be able to find a way to get it all done, and it might not be easy, but many before you have done it and many after you will do it based on what they have learned from you. It only takes a little push to pull on through!
We have a quick week coming up with our first after school rehearsal on Thursday, away game on Friday, and PREVIEW SHOW ON SATURDAY! Get everyone you know to come out if you want them to get an in depth peek of the activity, it's going to be a great time!

2:28 HS/2:38 MS PM - school ends/eat/relax
4:00 PM - load buses
4:30 PM - depart Kingsway
5:00 PM - arrive at Township/take seats
6:00 PM - game begins
8:45 PM - load buses/depart
9:15 PM - arrive at Kingsway/unload/uniform checks
9:30 PM - pickup
Saturday - FRIENDS AND FAMILY PREVIEW SHOW!Â

7:00 PM - show ends/clean up/dismissal when completed
Pit Crew Training - anyone interested in volunteering to be on this year's Pit Crew should report to the stadium at 1 on Saturday. Our Pit Crew has achieved Legendary Status over the years and we need your help! Even if your child is not in the pit, this is still a great way to get involved with making sure the band can operate smoothly on show days. Donation Drive - there is no floor space left in the back room but we still have a bit to go until we reach the ceiling! Donations are only being accepted for one more week until Tuesday 9/12!
Thanksgiving Payments Due 9/12! - Payments are $85 and are due one week from today on Tuesday 9/12 - payment can be made by check to the Kingsway Band Boosters or Venmo to @KingswayBandBoosters (note that you are paying for Thanksgiving)
Dragon Run Sign Up - remember to register if you have not yet. The Dragon Run is the event we hold closest to our hearts and we look forward to attending and performing each year. Make sure to select KINGSWAY MARCHING BAND as the team when you register. Please see the Dragon Run Update for more information!
