Governing Board Meeting Notice
Notice is hereby given that the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence, Inc. (“King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools”) will hold a regular meeting as listed below.

Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location: King-Chavez Community High School, 1010 2nd Ave, San Diego CA 92101
Public input on specific agenda items and those items not on the agenda – Any person of the public desiring to speak shall be allowed to speak during public comment time and has the option of speaking once on any agenda item when it is being discussed. Speaking time shall generally be limited to three minutes, unless a longer period is permitted by the Board President. Agenda speakers will be limited five minutes.

6. Information – CFO update verbal report including financials, budget to actuals, cash flow and lines of credit, audit results, second interim reports
7. Information – COO Facilities update including all King-Chavez locations, bond refinance update and infant and toddler program update.
Action Items
8. Action – Adoption of 2016-17 School Calendar
9. Action - Adoption of new compensation plan and related policies
10. Action - Update of Employee Classifications relating to 11 and 12 Month Employees and Related Personal Time Off Policies.
11. Action – Resolution directing the administration to develop a Personnel Action Form system to replace the current Employment Agreement.
12. Action – Acceptance of 2014-15 audit reports for all schools and the consolidated organization.
13. Action - Approval of 2nd Interim financial reports.
14. Action - Approval of Consolidated Application for Federal Funds.
15. Action - Approval of School Site Plans and adoption of policy to ensure timely completion of plans.
16. Action - Approval of resolution declaring emergency conditions resulting in a reduction in operational days at the preschool due to flooding.
17. Action – Reimbursement resolution from bond refinance proceeds for funds expended on refinancing prior to the closing of the bond sale.
