Governing Board Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given that the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence, Inc. (“King- Chavez Neighborhood of Schools”) will hold a regular meeting as listed below.

Date: June 18, 2014

Time: 4:30 p.m.

Location: King-Chavez Academy of Excellence – 2850 Logan Ave, San Diego CA 92113

Public input on specific agenda items and those items not on the agenda – Any person of the public desiring to speak shall be allowed to speak during public comment time and has the option of speaking once on any agenda item when it is being discussed. Speaking time shall generally be limited to three minutes, unless a longer period is permitted by the Board President. Agenda speakers will be limited five minutes.

4. Approval of action minutes for meeting dated April 14, 2014.

5. Information - CEO update verbal report including finance, academics and community.

6. Information - Financial update, budget update, cash flow forecast, line of credit update.

7. Action – Approval of Fiscal Agent Change Request to the San Diego County Office of Education for the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program to the San Diego County Office of Education .

8. Action – Ratification of resolution to determine the use of Education Protection Account (EPA)spending requirements in compliance with Article XIII Section 36(f) of the California Constitution.

9. Action - Approval of updated fiscal policies and accounting manual for the King- Chavez Academy of Excellence, Inc. (King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools).

11. Action – Approval of vendor list for the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence, Inc. (King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools).

12. Action – Approval of resolution acknowledging an emergency situation beyond our control that resulted in reduced days of operation and attendance due to wildfires.

13. Action – Approval of preliminary consolidated budget for the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence, Inc. (King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools)

14. Action – Ratification of sublease with the Sherman Community Center’s Founder’s House for office space for King-Chavez administrative functions.

15. Information /Action – Approval of Local Control Accountability Plans (LCAP) for the: King-Chavez Academy of Excellence; King-Chavez Primary Academy; King- Chavez Arts Academy; King-Chavez Athletics Academy; King-Chavez Preparatory Academy and; King-Chavez Community High School.
