Governing Board Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given that the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence, Inc (“King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools”) will hold a regular meeting as listed below.

Date: February 12, 2014 Time: 4:30 p.m.

Location: King-Chavez Community High School Cafeteria, 1010 2nd Ave, San Diego CA 92101

Public input on specific agenda items and those items not on the agenda – Any person of the public desiring to speak shall be allowed to speak during public comment time and has the option of speaking once on any agenda item when it is being discussed. Speaking time shall generally be limited to three minutes, unless a longer period is permitted by the Board President. Agenda speakers will be limited five minutes.

5. Information oral presentation on Hope Leadership Foundation initiatives at King- Chavez schools presented by Willie Briscoe.

6. Information / Action oral presentation on Independent Study strategic planning and initiatives presented by David Wilson.

7. Information - CEO update verbal report including finance, academics and community.

8. Information - Financial update, budget update, cash flow forecast, line of credit update.

9. Action – Approval of 2012-13 Financial Audits for all schools.

10. Action – Approval of Period One (P1) attendance reports to the California Department of Education (CDE)

11. Open Discussion by Board Members

12. Information Written Academy, Technology and Teacher Support Reports
