*pick out : ~을 고르다, ~으로 선택하다

*I'm sure : 확신할 때, 자신 있을 때

From then on, everyday, as soon as her mother went to bingo,

그때부터, 매일, 엄마가 빙고하러 가자 마자,

*go - went - gone : 가다

Matilda walked ten blocks to the library.

마틸다는 10 블럭을 걸어서 도서관에 갔어요.

You know you can have your very own library card,

있잖아 얘야, 네 도서관 카드를 만들 수 있단다.

and then you could take books home.
