2. Acadience (Dibels) Reading Data Report: Mrs. Blackham
Showed data from BOY.
Data will be an indicator of kids that need extra support. Support will be very targeted. (3-4 students in group)
Intervention blocks will be used this year for ALL students.
Students that are at a higher level will also have an intervention, (book clubs, comprehensive groups, fluency groups.) IA’s will help with this.
Using WIN time (What I Need) makes sure everyone has a place to go & learn. Every student has some type of help. We want to make sure that students are getting all the help they need to be proficient readers.
MOY testing will be in December. We will be looking for progress from the BOY.
3. Draft Copy: RCES TSSA Plan
Reviewed TSSA plan
4. Digital Safety
As a council how are we going to teach digital safety?
Brandon Harrison from CUES will be coming.
Brandon will go classroom to classroom 15-20 min in each class.
5. Parent Feedback on Parent Teacher Conferences:
As a parent, they thought it went great, especially making goals for the student.
Liked that kids were involved.
Like the idea of having four parent teacher conferences throughout the year.
Teachers? How did you like the three days of parent teacher conference?
Three days were a lot. Hard to get prepping done.
Some teachers liked not being here as late.
Great that kids could articulate their own goals.
Darren thanked everyone for the feedback
Rachel asked for a motion to close the meeting, Stacey motioned it and Whitney 2nd it.
