Paula Plant- program administrator for school land trust. Video 6 minutes - Keeping kids safe on the internet. Annual training for students and parents. Digital citizenship skills. Make students aware and make better choices. Netsmarts will come to your school. They are age appropriate presentations.

A page on the UEA network with resources for parents and councils. Also non english information.

Kami- What is currently implemented.

Pay- We have Netsmarts come. K-3 and 4-6 seperate presentations.

Tony has firewalls set up. K-2 they use apps not safari to keep them safe. We can make the ipads moe strict if parents wish.

Are we comfortable? Tech people are on top of it. (Kami)

Linda Hanks- We were waiting to see if it would pass, it didn’t

Union Pacific Railroad feels like it was overassessed.

Why did it fail? It didn’t fail because the public isn’t supportive. They (the public) didn’t like that it was attached to a gas tax.

We are saying we want more money for education, we don’t want it attached to anything else.

Huge turnover at the state legislature.

Trustlands money is increasing.

Report on our spending this year.

2 IA’s and music instructor are paid out of this fund.

Ask Darin how losing the 6th graders will affect trustlands money and when it will take affect.

How is money best spent? IA redirecting? Learning coaches? (Mr. Pay)

Mr. Pay thinks that teachers are happy with the way money is being spent. Maybe not spend so much on technology next year. Flexible summer hours. He thinks it needs to be more specific what time is spent doing.

(Mr. Pay) Utah State 4H is working with us to get us a grant to have an after school program because we are rural and have so many title 1 students.
