athletics

Thank you to all of the fans that came out to the NAAC last weekend to support our kids.  Our soccer team, powered by Cole Creasey's hat trick, beat Chaparral 4-1 to start the evening.  Our football team battled the three-time defending champs all the way to the end before a packed house.  The Marching Band and Dance Teams rocked the halftime show.  And, our students and community showed up in force. Earlier Friday, our Cross County team kicked off their season at the D'Evelyn Dash.  Both teams finished in the top ten with Allie Braney taking 5th and Eliana DiManna taking 7th.

Softball went 2-0 this week with wins over Rock Canyon and Brighton.  The bats are swinging well and the team is hitting their stride as they prepare for league play.

Tennis had a great match on Tuesday against Arvada West.  With a lot of these students growing up in the same programs, it made for some spirited competition.  Three of the seven matches went the distance, but RV ultimately pulled out the win!

Golf is at Indian Tree today, holding on to a one-stroke lead over Valor in League Standings.  Dimarco Benallo, Jordan McCaslin, and Deacon Colwell, are within two strokes of the lead for individual league honors.

Soccer finished off this week with a 3-2 win over Heritage in front of a great crowd.  Coming in 125 students strong, the Mini Mustangs were in the house to put on a great halftime show.

Activities

Annual Club Fair

Today, we hosted our Club Fair with over 20 clubs represented in which they passed out information and offered our students an opportunity to find a way to connect!  Thank you to the student leaders and staff sponsors who helped promote ways for our students to engage in a positive and meaningful way here at RV!  Students who would like more information about club offerings can stop by the Main Office. Our Activities website is currently being updated with the new information for the current school year and will be a great resource for students who want to learn more.

PTSA

The Ralston Valley PTSA is still accepting registrations by going to the PTSA website (rvptsa.digitalpto.com) and using the link on the right side. We are looking forward to hosting our first meeting on Tuesday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m. at Ralston Valley.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the PTSA at rvptsa@gmail.com.

Scott Cochran, PTSA President

The Jeffco Marching Festival will be held on Saturday, September 10th at Jeffco Stadium (6th & Kipling). We will be kicking off the marching band season, by showcasing all the amazing bands in the district. It is an opportunity for the students to play in front of an audience and judges, and to get feedback for the rest of the season. We would love to have you come and support all the hard work that has gone into this year's show, A Thousand Cranes.  Good luck Marching Band!

off campus policy

Due to the nature of our campus, we do not allow students to walk off campus during the school day.

If your 10th-grade student is driving, they may leave campus with parental permission.  They are expected to follow local and state driving laws.  Please click on this FORM to give your sophomore child the ability to leave campus with your permission.

Our campus is not closed to our 11th and 12th-grade students and they may leave campus.

Advisement Corner

Ninth Grade Advisement

We are excited to share, that this past week in Advisement, our counselors met with every freshman! This allowed our students to put a face to a name as they begin to navigate high school. After the meetings, they focused on how to send a professional email to our teachers regarding grades, assignments, and other important information. Also, in Advisement, we are encouraging and teaching our students how to use their planners. We are hopeful that this becomes a habit as students organize themselves for the next four years.
