Thank You!

On behalf of the teachers and staff at RVHS, we would like to thank Student Government, PTSA and all of the parents who so graciously donated and spoiled us during Staff Appreciation week!  The snack cart, yummy breakfast treats, lunch, and gift cards are so appreciated. We are thankful to work in such a supportive community!

Dress Code

As the warmer weather approaches, we would like to take this opportunity to remind our community of our school dress code.  Ralston Valley places a tremendous emphasis on academics, and we feel it is critical to keep a learning environment that promotes safety and professionalism.  We feel that dress is a form of self-expression, and know that different environments are appropriate for different types of dress.  Please remind your student to keep their attire professional while at school by following our school dress code.  For specific details or questions, you can visit our school handbook, contact the Dean, or speak to your student's grade-level Administrator.

Bell Schedule for 2023-24

As many of you are aware our school district announced new start and end times for all Jeffco schools. At RV we have been working hard to create a bell schedule that allows us to maintain our instructional time while also keeping many of our academic intervention and enrichment opportunities in place. We are excited to share that our bell schedule for the 2023-2024 school year has been finalized and we’ve met our goal!  A huge thank you to all of the students, staff and parents who have shared your input with us.  Your voice matters!

Start Time: 8:15 a.m.

End Time: 3:30 p.m.

Thursday/White Days: Late start for all students - I.C.E begins at 9:05 a.m.

Tri-M Music Honor Society Performs for Healthcare Workers

Tri-M Music Honor Society performed at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children May 8th for Healthcare Workers Appreciation week.

athletics

Good luck to our soccer team.  After opening up their 2023 playoff run with a 4-1 victory over Regis, the #8 Mustangs will play #9 Pine Creek tonight, 6:00 p.m. at NAAC.  On the line, a trip to the quarterfinals.  Two high scoring offenses set to do battle.  It should be a great game.

Congratulation to Boy's Swim and Dive on winning the 5A Jeffco League Title last year.  Despite not having a single league champion, the Mustangs relied on their depth to finish 60 points ahead of second place Columbine.  Coach Lani Meyer took home 5A Jeffco Swim Coach of the Year.

Track and Field joined Boy's Swimming with a pair of league titles last weekend.  The boys walked out of Jeffco Stadium on Saturday with the 5A team trophy.  The girls had to wait until the points were recalculated to find out at practice on Monday that they were league champions as well!  Congratulations to Gianni Lombardi, 5A Jeffco Track Athlete of the Year.  Coach Scott Kinkley was awarded the 5A Jeffco Track Coach of the Year.

The rains wreaked havoc at this week's state tennis tournament.  All seven lines qualified, and as of the writing of this newsletter, all seven lines are still alive.  Good luck ladies.  Congratulations to Coach Kim Greason, 5A Jeffco Tennis Coach of the Year.

Congratulations to Boys Lacrosse on qualifying for the state tournament this year.  Their run came to an end last night in the pouring rain in a loss to a tough Castle View team. Congratulations on a great season.

Baseball saw a lot of rain this week.  A walk off win on Tuesday in the Jeffco 5A Tournament qualified them for the semifinals.  After two days of weather, they are still waiting to see when and where they will play that game against Chatfield.  Good luck!

off campus policy

Due to the nature of our campus, we do not allow students to walk off campus during the school day.

9th-grade students are not allowed off campus at any point during the school day unless they leave with their parent/guardians.

If your 10th-grade student is driving, they may leave campus with parental permission.  They are expected to follow local and state driving laws.  Please click on this FORM to give your sophomore child the ability to leave campus with your permission.

Our campus is not closed to our 11th and 12th grade students and they may leave campus.

Ninth Grade Advisement

We have completed this year's advisement program for our freshmen students. What an incredible class of young people. We have learned a lot from this class, and believe that they have learned a lot of valuable tools and skills that will help them ease into their tenth grade year. Students will be walking away with many lessons that include, but are not limited to: sleeping habits, executive functioning, anxiety, how to manage stress, mindfulness, gratitude, screen time and the growing brain, healthy relationships, etc.
