Students will know their room assignment by using this link and entering their student ID number.  There will also be QR codes throughout the hallways beginning Monday.  If you have any problems with the link or have any questions, please contact Jill Kline.

Big shout out to Scotty Gange and 9 News for coming out this morning to help celebrate the Ralston Valley community while promoting our football game against #2 Columbine as Game of the Week.  Our band, dance team, cheer squad, and seniors helped create an impromptu mini pep rally.  Scotty hyped up the students with a few cheers.  The students treated Scotty to a dance party with the Pump it Up Dance.  Thank to everyone that made this a fun and memorable morning.

Volleyball went across town to Arvada West on Thursday Night.  They came away with a 3-0 sweep of the Wildcats.  They are in the heart of league play and looking to position themselves in a good spot for Regionals at the end of the month

Tennis hosted Regionals this Thursday and Friday.  As of Friday morning, all 7 positions were still alive for a spot in the CHSAA State Championships next week.  4 ladders had moved on to the finals.

Softball had a big win over #5 Chatfield on Senior Night.  They will find out about where they will be for regionals this weekend.  Good luck!

Cross Country will travel to D'Evelyn this Thursday for the Jeffco League Championships.  They are running great and peaking at the right time of year.

Soccer has won four in a row, including a 3-1 win this past Monday over Lakewood.  The lone goal from Lakewood is the only goal given up over this four game stretch.

Football won their homecoming game last Friday 41-6 over Lakewood.  They get their 3rd #2 ranked team of the year tonight, 7:00 at Jeffco Stadium when they take on #2 Columbine.  The winner will be in the driver's seat for the 5A Jeffco League title.

Ninth Grade Advisement

This past Monday in Advisement, our ninth-grade students had the opportunity to learn about Signs of Suicide. Our counselors visited with each class and went over risk factors, warning signs, and protective factors as well as teaching students about the acronym ACT, which stands for Acknowledge, Care, and Tell.

Moving forward, we are hopeful that our students have better tools and know how to act if they or a friend needs help. This awareness is powerful and can keep our kids safe.

Counselors also provided opportunities for follow-up conversations if students needed more in-depth one-on-one conversations.

RVHS Advanced Placement Exam Information

The $96 exam fee for AP testing has been posted to student fee accounts on Jeffco Connect.  The AP exam fees will be due on Friday, October 14th.  These fee deadlines are set to ensure adherence to the College Board's practice of handling AP registration and exam logistics in the fall rather than the spring, which had been common practice until changes were instituted a few years ago.  Please direct any questions or concerns about AP exam fees or deadlines to Mr. Merkel (Counselor) at  scott.merkel@jeffco.k12.co.us.
