Cross Country competed this week in the Jeffco League Championships.  As a team the boys took 3rd and the girls took 4th.  Congratulations to Allie Braney and Nick Schweicker for being named first-team All-Conference.  Eliana DiManna and Ashtone Rasmussen were named 2nd team.  Honorable mention was earned by Keaton Westley, Cody Noall, and Owen Eicher.

Softball is down at Douglas County High School for the Regional Softball competition.  The top two in each region will move on to next week's State Championships.  Good luck Mustangs!!

Boys' Soccer continues its push toward the postseason.  They fell 2-1 to #1 Valor on Wednesday night ending a 5 game win streak in which the Mustangs only surrendered one goal.  They will finish league play next week with their games against Arvada West on Monday and Columbine on Thursday.  Both games are 5:00 p.m. at the NAAC.

Volleyball has games against Lakewood and Columbine left in their regular season.  Tuesday, October 25th is the home finale against Columbine.

Football was featured last week by 9 News for the game of the week.  The game did not disappoint.  The Mustangs scored the game-winning touchdown in the final minute of the game to beat #2 Columbine.  They are now 3-0 against teams ranked #2 in Colorado this year.  Football plays Pomona tonight at NAAC.

Our boy's soccer team joined forces with our volleyball team on Thursday for a joint practice/competition.  All athletes tried their hand at both sports in this annual event.  Good luck to both as they look to end their regular seasons on a high note.

Advisement Corner

Ninth Grade Advisement

Upcoming in Advisement next week, students will talk about how high school can feel like a roller coaster ride and that October is a harder month to get through. A lot of encouragement will be given and information about how to continue to use their time wisely, use their planners, and use the time given during I.C.E.

Students will go over what graduation requirements are needed to graduate, and have conversations around setting the tone for their high school career.

Establishing good routines, asking for help, getting good sleep, and working hard are all great examples of this.
