Trick or Treat Street - Huge Thank you to our Community
Organizing a successful Trick or Treat Street is a big undertaking. Thank you to our National Honor Society for coordinating our student clubs, activities, and athletics. Everyone in our school pulled together to ensure that our community was able to participate and have fun. We had 1400 community members through the doors, 800 of which were kiddos in costume and we collected 1200 cans for the Arvada Community Table! Thank you to our RV community for making Trick or Treat Street a success!
athletics
Congratulation to our soccer team!! They beat Northglenn 6-0 on Wednesday night in the first round of the CHSAA State Championships. Cooper Hineline threw down a first-half hat trick to set the tone for the evening. The #8 Mustangs will play #24 Liberty on November 1 at 6:00 p.m. Come on out to the NAAC and cheer them on.
Our football team has their regular season finale tonight at NAAC against Arvada West. A win should help the #3 Mustangs secure a first-round bye in this year's state tournament. With their win last Friday over Chatfield, Ralston Valley clinched the 5A Jeffco Championship. Congratulations!
Volleyball finished their regular season on Tuesday with a sweep of Columbine. Another great crowd to close down the Mustang Range for the Fall sports' season. With that win, Ralston Valley finishes 3rd in the Jeffco League. On Monday they will find out where they will be traveling for Regionals.

No weapons (fake, or real) may be used as part of the costume.
Thank you in advance for keeping our students safe!

Fall Play - Radium Girls - November 3rd-5th, 7:00 p.m.
About the play (based on true events): In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches were the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. As the case goes on, however, Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S. Radium Corporation, but with her own family and friends, who fear that her campaign for justice will backfire.

Advisement Corner
Ninth Grade Advisement
On Monday, October 31st our advisement classes will be learning about motivation. What does motivation mean? As a student, what motivates you?
We will focus on two types of motivation:
Intrinsic motivation-individuals learn because of a desire that comes from within; it is the act of doing an activity purely for the joy of doing it.
Extrinsic motivation is when an outside force is involved in encouraging students to learn or is the use of external rewards or punishments to encourage student work completion.
The overall goal is for our freshmen to recognize what motivates them as an individual and how can they use this motivation to create better habits regarding their high school career.
