As language teachers, our mission goes beyond teaching tenses and vocabulary. 

We have a unique opportunity—and responsibility—to nurture students who think critically, challenge their own assumptions, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. 

Without these skills, young people are more susceptible to misinformation, bias, and cultural intolerance.

This session focuses on the how of global citizenship: practical, classroom-ready strategies for embedding intercultural understanding and critical thinking into language learning. 

We'll explore the vital role MFL teachers play in shaping open-minded, culturally curious learners—and what’s at stake when we don’t.
