This session is built around the 'hard' emotion of joy. Hywel will share how cultures in curriculum, classrooms and corridors can be enhanced by the sharing of professional wisdom.
Drawing on current positive psychology research, Hywel will share approaches that will enable you to excel in your role as class teacher and leader.
He will cover:

Employing discerning pedagogical decisions
Powerful 'Botheredness' models as a boon to creative practice and placing learning into contexts that bring the abstract to life

Biograhpy
Hywel is an experienced teacher in Special, Primary and Secondary settings, nationally and internationally. He is recognised as an in-demand speaker, writer, humourist, and pedagogy philosopher. Hywel specialises in using Drama approaches and storytelling in classrooms.
His books include ‘Oops! Getting Children to Learn Accidentally’, ‘Uncharted Territories’ (written with Dr Debra Kidd) and ‘Botheredness’
He was recently described as ‘..a world leader in enthusiasm’.
He also runs a brewery.
