Happy last Tuesday! Please see items below as we wrap up the final two days. Please make sure that your rooms are packed and ready to go BEFORE leaving on Friday. If your items/furniture/boxes aren't labeled, they will not be able to be removed and we will have to contact you to come back and complete this task.
Also, please check your email periodically throughout the summer for updates and information that may be important. You will be allowed back in the building on July 6th. Please let Mercedes, Beth, and/or myself know prior to coming just in case something changes with the custodial staff. The office is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays...that is when Mercedes will be here!
Post Planning Agenda- You will find the schedule for May 21st and 22nd HERE.
End-of-Year Checklist- The EOY checklist can be found HERE. Please do not wait to look at it. Start making a plan now to get it completed. Lunchroom charges must be paid ASAP. Mrs. April will let you know if you are a friend that owes. Please do not wait until the last minute to pay because she has to get her books cleared and turned in. Also, please be sure that your room is COMPLETELY packed up and everything off the floors. All furniture and boxes need to be labeled with your name and room number. Remember, if the box or item is too heavy for you to lift, it is too heavy for our custodians to lift. Plan accordingly.
Budget Sheets- Each teacher needs to take a look at the budget sheet (linked HERE) and start working on your order for next year. This must be turned in to Mercedes before you leave for the summer to ensure all items arrive prior to school starting.
School MAP- Please take a look at where everyone will be next year, according to the school map that can be found HERE. We didn't have to change too many of you, but a few tweaks were made.
Thank you for making this year a HUGE success! Can't wait to start again (but let's do it after summer)! 🥳
The end is here! Please make sure you complete each of the items on the End of the Year Checklist linked above. If you have any questions, please reach out.
After your rooms are packed up, storage closets are next 😀. Clean out and organize your storage closets now so you are ready for the new consumables coming in the summer! Remember, we get new consumable materials for your students each year. If you have extra Eureka Math workbooks, send them home with your students. You may also send them home with the grade level below. For example, first grade can count out leftover Apply books and send them home with kindergarten students. This way, they can practice over the summer! Reach out to the grade chair and let them know your thoughts BEFORE you start taking books to a different grade level.
At the end of year all Benchmark and Eureak2 materials are inventoried. Please be mindful of this as you begin closing out the year.
All students will need an updated QPA/QSA in grades K-3 by the end of the year. Only students in red/orange for 4-5.

WE SURVIVED !!!
I don't know about y'all but this year has been tricky! The issues these kids are facing have grown and become even harder and darker than ever. I hope each of you know how big of a bright light you have been for some of these kids. I worry about a lot of them being home for 2 months, as I know you guys do, too. I hope you spend these next two months focused on you, your family, and what makes you happy!
Trusted Adult Data:
I surveyed 2nd-5th graders back in January-February about if they had a trusted adult at school. If they had a trusted adult, they had to tell me who it was. I have finally (finally!) gone through and organized the data so that we could see what exactly is going on with our kids!
I surveyed 352 kids in total.
31 kids said they felt like they had no one at school they could talk to.
In 24-25, we had 36. (yay for improvements!)
91.1% of our students feel like there is an adult at school that they can talk to, if they needed to. 8.8% of 2nd-5th graders do not.
Clothing Closet
I am in need of clothes, specifically bottoms if you have them! I will take any and all boys or girls clothes. Clothing in the classroom is for any child who needs it-regardless of socio-economic status but based on need at the time. This can be kids who do not have appropriate clothes or kids who have accidents at school.
Student library books due May 8
Chromebook Collection: May 15
Turn in your Centegix Badge in the LC
Set up at least one of your 2025-26 Canvas courses NOW. If you don’t set it up before the summer you will lose your access as a teacher in Canvas.
Keep your HoverCam and laptop/Para Chromebooks (unless you are one of the glorious few moving on to new adventures! Then you'll need to return them to the library). Store your Hovercam in your cabinets and take your laptop home or bring it to the library to be stored.
Please put your ClearTouch keyboard in one of your Chromebook cabinets. (Keyboards are room specific)
Unplug your phone and put it in one of your Chromebook Cabinets as well (These are also room specific)
Your ClearTouch accessories (remote & 2-pens) need to be stored in the box tucked behind your ClearTouch panel. Please let Allyson know if some of these are missing (remote or pens).
If you have a computer monitor, store it in a place where it is secure. DO NOT leave it on any furniture that will be moved when they wax the floors!
If you have iPads, store them in your Chromebook Cabinets or return them to the library.
On your list of checked out items, please mark what you plan to keep and make sure everything else is returned. Return this list when you come by for me to sign off on your EOY checklist.
Remind your kids to return their books.
Chromebook charges will go out as soon as we have a chance to inspect Chromebooks this week.

To enroll, new teachers will need to email me (laney.park@hallco.org) and I will give them the enrollment link. This information is also being added to the New Teacher Packet from HR, with directions for new teachers to contact me.
Here is the flyer for course and enrollment details.
Reach out to me if you have any questions!
*New Addition: The county is planning to offer a second cohort of this course in September, with a deadline Mid-October. While this provides an additional opportunity, new teachers are strongly encouraged to complete the course over the summer whenever possible. Teachers who begin in the summer are typically much more successful in finishing before the demands of the school year increase. The fall cohort is intended to support those who are hired later or are unable to complete the course during the summer.
