Okay, so we're 18 days in and we are now at full speed. You have MAP data to look at, you will soon have some Benchmark data, and of course all of your observational data up to this point. I encourage you to think about what your students will each need in order to be successful this school year. As the quote to the side says, LOVE is very important, but teaching our students at a level that allows them to be successful year after year is KEY! I know that isn't always an easy thing to do, but have no fear. We do not want you to do this work alone! All of your teammates, academic specialists, and our amazing Instructional Coach, Kate, are here to help! Let's lean on each other and make a plan that will be sustainable!
This is the last week to complete your BOY checklist. Thank you to those that have already turned yours in and completed each task. The compliance modules are for ALL faculty and staff. Please make sure they are completed by the 29th.
After today, the TKES pre-conferences for certified staff will be completed (Paras are next week-Sep 3rd). We will plan to begin walk-throughs soon. If you have any questions about the TKES process or anything in regards to observations, please don't hesitate to reach out. I have been so impressed with your lesson studies each week, that I just know the instruction is going to be awesome!
I can't thank you enough for the strong start to this school year! What you do is hard work and it takes laser focus and dedication. Please let me know how I can support you better. I also hope that you all enjoy your Labor Day weekend! ☀️

We are working toward having all of our ESOL students set a Language Domain Goal based on their ACCESS test scores. These scores provide insight into how each student is performing in the four language domains: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
Once students identify a specific domain to focus on, our goal is for them to actively practice and strengthen that area throughout the school day.
Below, you’ll find suggested activities students can do to help build skills in each domain. These can be incorporated into classroom routines or used during small group time to support their progress. If you want information on your students' domain goal, please reach out!! :)
