We would like you to read for 20 minutes everyday. This does not have to be done as part of your school activity. You may choose to read before bed, at the end of the school day, after dinner. The choice is yours!
When readers read a text, they create pictures in their mind (a mind movie). This movie constantly changes to match the details of the text.
We expect that you find 20 minutes during your day to do some independent reading. This does not have to be done during your Reading Activity. You may choose to do these 20 minutes of reading before bed, at the end of your school day, after dinner, the choice is yours!
Literary elements work together to form a story and make it interesting. We learn literary elements separately, but we combine them when reading to give us a better understanding of the story.
This week for reading, you will be completing activities in your Reader’s Notebook from this Google Slide.
Please read each slide carefully and complete all of the activities in order.
Your ‘Reading Eggs’ book (mentioned in the slide), will be posted to you through Google Classroom.
