Welcome to the Foundation Daily Home Learning Program :)
On this website we will provide you and your child/ren with weekly activities and resources, for all areas of the curriculum, to support their learning at home.
We hope you find this guide to home learning helpful and easy to follow.
This is a suggested timetable that you may like to use to support your learning. Please be advised that this is just a suggestion to support those wanting a structured timetable, you do not have to use it. We understand that every family situation is different, so please just do whatever works best for your family during this time.
Suggested home learning routine:
Below is a brief outline of suggested time frames for each learning area you might like to follow, more detail will be provided each week within the designated learning tabs.
Daily Reading (approximately 1 hour):
20 minutes Independent Reading
Listen to Picture Story Book Read Aloud
Complete a reading activity based on the Picture Story book
Daily Letter/Sound Practise (approximately 30 minutes)
Jolly Phonics songs
Alphabet book work
Letter formation
Daily Writing (approximately 1 hour):
Practise writing sight words
Write a sentence and draw a picture to match
Daily Mathematics (approximately 1 hour):
5-10 minutes counting practise (counting to 20 forwards and backwards, and from different starting points)
40-50 minutes provided Mathematics activity
Other Weekly Activities (all approximate times):
1 hour Inquiry activity
1 hour STEAM activity
1 hour Wellbeing activity
Japanese (check Specialist tab)

Performing Arts (check Specialist tab)
