MBA Student Organizations can receive sponsorships and/or donations from both external and internal stakeholders — including, but not limited to, companies, individual donors, and university departments. These funds help support MBA Student Organizations in delivering initiatives such as workshops, career fairs, events, and more.
On this page, you will find the process for securing sponsorships and donations for MBA Student Organizations. If you have any questions, please contact the MBA Program Office at mbaprogramoffice@georgetown.edu.
Step 1 — Identify Potential Sponsors
If MBA Student Organizations are interested in sponsorship, the MBA Club Leaders are responsible for finding and contacting potential sponsors/donors.
- If contacting Alumni, email the McDonough Alumni Relations Team (Info at MBA Admin Page).
- For Corporate Partnerships, notify your Career Advisor first.
Step 2 — Request Sponsor Information
Once a sponsor/donor agrees to support your club, request the following information (use this template):
Dear Sponsor,
Thank you very much for sponsoring Georgetown University's <ADD MBA CLUB NAME> during the event <ADD EVENT NAME>.
Could you please send an email confirming the following:

Step 3 — Forward Sponsor Information to MBA Program Office and request an invoice (if needed)
As soon as your sponsor/donor sends the requested information from Step 2, forward it to mbaprogramoffice@georgetown.edu.
If your sponsor requires an invoice, let the MBA Program Office Team know so we can process it. Invoice processing time: approx. 5 business days.
The MBA Program Office will send the invoice to the MBA Student Leader and they will be responsible for forwarding to the sponsor.
Step 4 — Request a Proof of Payment to Sponsor and send to the MBA Program Office
After payment is processed, Request a receipt or proof of payment from the sponsor.
Forward receipt to mbaprogramoffice@georgetown.edu and cc your MBA Program Office Advisor.
Note: Complete this step at least 5 business days before the time that you plan to spend these funds.
Sponsorship is not confirmed and funds may not be used until receipt is submitted and approved.
Step 5 — Update Revenue in HoyaConnect
Once sponsorship is confirmed by the MBA Program Office: Enter revenue into your club’s balance in HoyaConnect.
