How to navigate CampusGroups? Overview for New Users
At the outset, think about the types of clubs you wish to join. What are your interests? What are some areas you want to learn more about? There are career focused clubs, affinity clubs, social clubs, etc. We suggest about 3-4 clubs in total with a mix of maybe 1-2 social/affinity clubs and 1-2 career focused. The right balance is also highly dependent on your available time.
It’s up to you! Depends on how many events you attend and how involved you get with the clubs operations (leadership / board member, event lead etc). Ultimately your experience is what you make it!
Events, networking, community development, learning opportunities, leadership experience, skill-building, volunteering opportunities, and more. You will also make friends, build community, and have fun!
There is dedicated club programming time set aside that does not conflict with academics to offer you a time to participate. You also need to know your limits and not join too many clubs. Remember to plan ahead and not procrastinate. While club involvement is an important part of your MBA experience, your academics come first… in other words, make sure you actually get the degree!
No! If you’re interested, MBA students (FT, FX and FXO) can join so long as you pay any applicable club dues.
For non-MBA Students, please review th disclaimer below on this page and the clubs guidelines if they are open or not to non-MBAs.
The Fall 2024 Membership Drive will be open from Thursday, August 29 - Tuesday, September 10.
If you wish to join any clubs outside of the scheduled membership drive(s), feel free to reach out to the respective club leadership who would be happy to support you with the membership process. Many clubs are open to members joining after the drive. Dues will not be prorated and are up to the discretion of the clubs and their membership options
You can create one! Review the guidelines listed in the MBA Student Organization Handbook and reach out to the Student Organization Review Committee if you have any questions about this process (msb-sorc@georgetown.edu). Also, as a GU grad student, you can also join or start new GradGov clubs.
The Dean’s Office and the MBA Program Office are offering funding grounded in the Jesuit value of Community in Diversity during the Fall 2025 Membership Drive through the MBA Club Membership Access Support initiative. The fund enables all MBA students to join 50+ MBA clubs by covering membership dues, removing financial barriers to critical professional networks and development.
Funding Amount
Up to $150 toward dues (max two clubs).
Eligibility
Open to Georgetown MBA students in Full‑Time, Flex, and Flex‑Online programs. Other programs are not eligible.
How to Apply: Complete and submit the application form by September 5th at 11:59 PM.
Did you know? Georgetown has many more clubs and organizations outside of MBA clubs. These organizations are often led by graduate students from other Georgetown schools, such as the Medical Center, Walsh School of Foreign Service, and McCourt School of Public Policy, as well as by undergraduate students. MBA students are welcome to participate in these campus-wide groups.
Please note: there are two different CampusGroups sites to explore these organizations and events:
HoyaConnect MBA Campus (Managed by the MBA Program Office): Specifically targeted at MBA students.
Georgetown CampusGroups (Managed by GradGov): Open to all Georgetown students.
