What We've Learned
In chemistry we have learned how all about chemicals, we've learned how to write them, how to get them to bond, how to identify and classify types of chemical bonding, such as polar covalent, non-polar covalent, Ionic, etc. Bonds require lots of energy to form, and these bonds have several different ways of showing themselves and identifying themselves, there is Inter molecular forces such as the attractions between molecules like London Dispersion Forces and the other types of inter molecular forces like dipole- dipole, Induced dipole- Induced dipole (LDF) and Hydrogen bonds. Hydrogen bonds only form with certain elements, three to be specific, Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Fluorine. We've learned how to properly write and balance chemical formulas and equations, we've also learned bout how to apply the Law of Conservation of Mass, and we've learned about Single replacement, Double replacement, Combustion, Decomposition, and synthesis reactions. We've also learned how to calculate and compare certain electronegativity differences, ionization energy, ionic radius, atomic radius, reactivity, and each with their own rules and what makes each of them up. We've learned how to write and annotate chemical bonds, with their own 2VD models. And many other interesting things, Overall this is a fun class!
