Universalizing Religions - Widely diffused from the hearth through both expansion and relocation diffusion. Not confined to a specific location. Missionary - attempt to convert people to join. Examples: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism
Ethnic Religions - Smaller diffusion and overall distribution from hearth. Restricted to relocation diffusion. Tied to a specific location and/or ethnic group. Does NOT recruit new adherents. Examples: Hinduism, Judaism, Shintoism, traditional religions

Populations and Migrations
Migration: The permanent or semi-permanent movement of a people from one place to another. This has many different sub areas of the subject, like chain migration, intergional, intraregional, internal migrations, external migrations, etc. These migrations all contribute to the main idea of the movement of people.
