AP Human Geography is our freshmen's first AP Class!
A while back, the freshman learned about Demographic Transition Models and Epidemiological Transition Models in Unit 2 of Ap Human Geography.
From this they were able to construct FRQs discussing these topics as they worked in class with Ms. Massey for a 5 (100%).

Freshmen enjoyed the documentary Girl Rising throughout the first semester to learn about examples of girls around the world struggling with education, rights, etc.
During the agriculture unit, the freshmen watched The Biggest Little Farm (see to the left).
While learning about urbanization, freshmen learned about various city models, including the Concentric Model, Sector Model, Latin American Model, and more!
To get started on learning about these city models, students were given a coloring book, where they are color-coded to easily show different parts of each city model (ex. CBD, squatter settlement, etc.)
