As AP Exams are around the corner, the Juniors have been utilizing online resources to study. They used the online Gizmos simulations to experiment with many physics principles in a hands-on and exciting way. Here is an example of what the Juniors worked with when learning/studying momentum!
Labs in AP Physics are essential, and our juniors have been working tirelessly with Mr. Lin to understand the concepts they learn in class. To do these labs, they are using dynamics cars which can bluetooth connect to laptops and provide a variety of graphs, such as velocity-time graphs, to help students further visualize what is being taught!
Here students were learning about different time graphs such as velocity-time, acceleration-time, and position-time to understand one of the fundamentals of physics. They additionally were learning Newton's Second Law of F=ma with graphs and calculations. Through adding mass to the cart they were able to see varying accelerations, forces, and more!
Using those same cars, our juniors have been using springs and different masses to understand Periodicity! They have recording their data in their engineering/AP Physics lab notebooks to help with Lab Practicals and for further comprehension of the content itself!
