Semester One Projects

Engineering Design Process (EDP): Engineers follow this process to come up with ideas and make improvements

Using the Engineering Design Process, we had a project based off of making a slime that has a purpose in everyday life. We had to develop slides and either present them in class or in a video, this was an extremely fun and enjoyable project.

Paper Bridge:

Using the process to make and construct a bridge to for a car to cross a gap over two textbooks each 9 inches apart, we were instructed to make our bridge weight less than 17g, and our bridge had to be more than 9 inches, as well as being at least 4 inches wide, and only use just 3 sheets of paper. This project was extremely fun to work on as it was relatively quick and snappy.

Engineering Career Card:

We started off the year in engineering with a fun project, we were told to pick a partner and work with them to construct a card about our chosen engineering job. This card was required to be at more than 2.5 X 3.5 inches, this project was fun as it was creative and a fun way to introduce us into this class.
