Show the student a selection of cards with the cars displaying different feelings. Ask the student to select a card that shows how they are feeling.
Ask: What do you think this Dragstar is feeling? How are you feeling? Write down all the feelings the students suggest for the Dragster on the planning sheet.
Then ask: What is happening in your body when you feel this way? Write down all the body suggestions on the planning sheet.
Then ask: What actions are you taking when you feel this way? What are you doing when you feel this way? Write down all the action suggestions on the planning sheet.
Then ask: What are you thinking or saying to yourself when you feel this way? Write down all the thinking suggestions on the planning sheet.
Ask - what zone do you think the Dragstar is in?
Then ask the student to choose a card that displays how they want to be feeling. Ask the same questions as above with regard to the car in the picture.
Ask the student what plan they can make to ensure next time they feel the way they want to rather than the way they do currently. You can write the plan down for the student to refer to.
