Composting Starts on Monday!

• Kids sort compostable/non compostable/regular waste in each classroom (3 trash cans)

  • Come and get your signs from the office 

  • Maintenance will make sure all your bins are set in your classrooms and buildings by Mon. 

• Every afternoon, have a compost helper pour the compostable waste in each grade level bin 

• Every morning, the groups that go to the garden during HANDS need to bring the grade-level bin. Please make sure to mix the contents 50/50: organic waste and dry material (cascarilla de arroz or dry leaves).

• 1st Grade, bring compost right after lunch

• We will leave a set of We Care Cards in your classrooms next week. 

• Use them as "nice to knows" to reinforce positive and helpful behavior, and send them home!
