Let's all welcome our new pets to our EY family, and use this space to teach and learn more about empathy, respect and responsibility.
A study published in Animals (2024) found that preschoolers participating in rabbit-assisted activities showed significant improvements in self-esteem compared to those who did not interact with live animals.

Things to Re Read and Keep in Mind
Incidents often happen when we least expect them, which is why we must remain always alert and ensure that students are always safe and supervised, especially during transitions, outdoor play, snack, and all other moments of the day.
Effective classroom management, proactive strategies, strong relationships with students, and assertive verbal and non-verbal communication all play a key role in preventing incidents.
Your duties start at the very beginning of outdoor play. It is each one of our responsibility to be on our spots on time.
If you are unable to be on your designated spot, please find a replacement beforehand.
What active supervision looks like:
Talking/playing/interacting with children
Helping children solve conflicts (Did you like it? Strategy)
Listening to children as they speak/play
Observing children closely
Walking around
If you see anything that calls your attention about a child's behavior, contact his or her teacher immediately to follow up.
Remember to:
Send a nice email!
Send a voice note
Send a picture
Go and see that person
Write a note!
