Swimming
The swimming season has been a thrilling journey marked by lovely achievements from our talented swimmers, showcasing skill and dedication in the pool.
The Inter-house Swimming Gala held earlier in the term was a lively event, with Barbarians, Trojans, and Crusaders competing fiercely yet maintaining friendly sportsmanship. Trojans emerged as the champions, with Barbarians in second and Crusaders in third.
Clifton proudly entered 14 swimmers into this year’s Midmar Mile Swim. We applaud our courageous young swimmers who fearlessly tackled the open waters, putting their skills and endurance to the ultimate test.
Annabella Mitchell-Innes and Campbell Turner represented Clifton and the uMgungundlovu swimming team at the KZN trials in Durban, with Annabella securing 5th place in the 50m Backstroke race and Campbell clinching 4th place in the boys’ race. Congratulations, to our two Champions on their remarkable performances!
The Clifton Girls Team finished the season in 4th place at the TWC B Gala while the Clifton Boys Team secured 1st spot taking home the trophy for the first time in 8 years. Well done, boys on your outstanding display of sportsmanship and teamwork in securing the championship title.
In closing, congratulations to all our young swimmers for their exemplary performance and dedication, inspiring the Clifton community.
